Perhaps what I like most of all is designing posters.
They exist on the ever wading shoreline between art and commerce and that’s an interesting place to be.
They belong on the wall and ask to be seen, but - despite what many may think - they do not necessarily have to communicate in a straight forward manner.
There is an opportunity for poetry here.
Something to think about, something that makes us smile or unsettles us.
Maybe it leaves us with questions.
And maybe we will be persuaded to go looking for answers….
(Some of these posters were made for real, like the ones for a restaurant or for the “Zuilense Salons” events, but others were just made for fun - like the one for a non-existing industrial music festival located at my friend’s non existing rooftop pool….)
